The Providence Seed Library was a public seed library offering free open-pollinated, heirloom, culturally relevant, and indigenous seeds founded and organized by Fatma Maswood. Seeds were available at branches of the Community Libraries of Providence.

In order to make the seed library accessible to less experienced growers and gardeners, Fatma taught a series of seed starting worksops. She asked me to help design and print this Gowing Guide to collect and share that curriculum more broadly.
